Amanda is a lifelong resident of Jackson. She enjoys working, living, and giving back to a community that she has always called home. Since joining Jackson Junior Welfare League in 2012 Amanda has been actively involved holding various board positions including Treasurer and Gala co-chair. What interested her most about JJWL to begin with was their long history of doing good within our community with as little or as much time each member had available to give. Amanda looks forward each year to assisting in the selection process for the Gala grant recipients. She thinks it's truly amazing that there are so much collaboration each year making the annual Gala fundraiser such a success.

Kelly joined the Jackson Junior Welfare League in the spring of 2014. Since joining, Kelly has served as the community projects chair for 2 terms, the done in a day chair and currently as Gala co-chair. Kelly holds a bachelors degree in English and history from Central Michigan University and works as the executive director of the Shop Rat Foundation. Community service is a priority for Kelly and she serves on the Jackson Symphony Guild board, Jackson Young Professionals community service committee, Cradle 2 Career middle school action team and volunteers at the Jackson County Animal Shelter. Kelly and her husband Pete have 3 fur babies: Boone, Murphy and Leo. Kelly enjoys baking, spinning classes and reading.

Katie joined the Junior League in 2011 and has served on the board as the Warm the Children co-chair. Katie was interested in JJWL to meet new people and make an impact on the Jackson community. She has a Bachelor degree from WMU and a Master degree from MSU. Katie is a reading specialist at Paragon Charter Academy. She is married to Ryan and has 3 fur babies: Ebony the dog, and Rocco & Turk (cats). Katie enjoys reading, running, traveling, and wine.
Kelly Velker, Secretary Elect
Kelly joined JJWL in 2013; this is her first year on the board. Kelly is married with three rambuctious girls: Scarlett, 3, and twins, Paige, and Scarlett, almost 2. She is a temporarily retired RN and Younique presenter. She loves being involved in Community Bible Study, Mothers of Preschoolers (MOPS), Moms Club, and Junior League.

Jessica joined the Junior League in 2014 and became a board member in 2015 as treasurer elect. She is a graduate of Kalamazoo College, Detroit Mercy Dental School, and a residency at Rutgers. Jessica is an orthodontist at her own practice, Summit Orthodontics. She is married to Douglas, and has one child. Jessica is a Jackson native (and Lumen Christi grad), and enjoys Michigan football and golfing.
Cinamon Branigan, Treasurer Elect
Cinamon joined JJWL in 2014. She is a graduate of Jackson High (2003), Central Michigan University (Bachelor of Science) and Michigan State University (Master of Social Work). She is employed at Community Action Agency as an Early Childhood Specialist for Early Head Start. She is married to Matt, and they have two boys Connor, 6 and Hudson, 4. Cinamon enjoys volunteering, and is also involved with Jackson’s Teen Pregnancy Prevention Initiative and United Way Women’s Leadership Council. In her free time she scrapbooks, spends time with family, and cooking.

Sarah has been a member of the Junior League since 2013. She is a Jackson native, graduate of Lumen Christi, with a Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education from WMU and a Master's Degree in Reading from Spring Arbor University. Sarah currently teaches Kindergarten at Hunt Elementary. She is married to Aaron, with one child, Rilynn. Sarah enjoys volunteering in the community and helping others, and is also involved with Big Brothers Big Sisters. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with family, watching sports (Go Blue!), running, and Zumba.

Melinda joined the Junior League in 2013, when she returned to her native Jackson hometown. She is married to Adam, and has two beautiful boys, Oskar, 5, and Griffon, 1. Melinda is a graduate of University of Michigan, and earned her Master's degree in Nurse Anesthesia at Mayo School of Health Sciences. She works as a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) for Allegiance Health. She enjoys reading, biking, and spending time with her family.

Heather Corcoran, Craft-A-Rama Chair
Heather joined JJWL in 2013. She is married to Paul, and has 3 children: Jacob, 7, Joshua, 6, and Julia, 2. Heather has a Master of Nurse Anesthesia degree from Wayne State and works as a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) at Allegiance Health. She enjoys golfing and dancing.

Suzanne joined Jackson Junior Welfare League in 2013 to contribute, through volunteerism, to the Jackson area community. She has a variety of past committee experiences, including fund raising for the American Heart Association, and is currently co-chair for JJWL'S Warm the Children committee. Suzanne has experience as a human resource professional in both education and business, and is founder of Girls on the M.O.V.E. (Mission, Opportunity, Vision, Exceptional Behaviors). She has a Bachelor's degree from Eastern Michigan University and a Master's degree from Central Michigan University. She also holds her advanced level certification in human resources. Suzanne has two sons, Zachary and Dustin, and a daughter in law, Mikaela (married to Dustin). She loves spending time with them as often as possible! She is an avid equestrian, and is currently riding a beautiful Friesian horse. She is also a music lover and has fun drumming as a hobby.

Lacy joined JJWL in 2015. She is a graduate of Albion College, and is a Portfolio Manager at Flagstar Bank. She is married to Kurtis, and has a son Kason who is two. Lacy enjoys traveling and golfing.

Angela joined JJWL in 2013 and is currently serving as the Community Projects Chair. Angela is a graduate of both the University of Michigan (Go Blue!) and Michigan State University College of Law (Go Blue!). She is currently an attorney at Inosencio & Fisk, PLLC, which is located in downtown jackson. Angela grew up in Jackson and is a graduate of Lumen Christi Catholic High School. As a Jackson native, Angela is passionate about working with organizations that strive to make a positive impact on the Jackson community. Angela enjoys reading, traveling, and spending time with her husband, James, and baby boy.
