Announces Funding Recipients for Annual Gala
At the Jackson Junior Welfare League we strive “to improve the quality of life in the community through volunteer service and fund development.” We are once again announcing recipients for our annual fundraising gala. This year’s gala will be held on March 3, 2018 at 6 in the evening at the Commonwealth Commerce Center in Jackson, Michigan. Last year’s gala raised over $50,000 in support of two valuable organizations: the Jackson Friendly Home and the Region 2 Area Agency on Aging.Proceeds from 2018 “Come Fly With Me” gala will support three worthy and important non-profits: the Jackson YMCA, Aware Inc., and the Felician Children’s Center (FCC). The Jackson YMCA is an organization whose mission is to build healthy spirit, mind and body for all. Gala funding will support a program that provides support for Jackson area breast cancer survivors. AWARE, Inc. strives to eliminate domestic and sexual violence, while promoting social change and empowering survivors by offering shelter and services. Funding from gala will support AWARE programming. The FCC is dedicated to providing children with healthy, happy and engaging experience. The FCC will use proceeds to provide childcare scholarships to low income children in Jackson.
If you’re interested in donating, all donations are tax-deductible and participating businesses will receive recognition in our event program. For more information about donating you can contact the Jackson Junior Welfare League at firstname.lastname@example.org.
